Warmer temps

I am in the midst of my second to last round. My labs have been stable and I am grateful to be able to have all my treatments on time without delay this far. I will not be sorry to see my systemic chemo go; but I will miss the nursing staff in the infusion center. They have been supportive, curious and protective. They are a special breed of nurse, with extra compassion. I passed desensitization on the in patient regimen, so my last infusion will be out patient. I can’t wait to celebrate the end of this part of the journey. My primary nurse loves and encourages my differences as a patient, a learner, and has embraced my nuances and “delicate flower” responses to medications.

Life has continued at home and on the yoga mat. I had a beautiful experience with teaching at our community center. Four neighbors came, and looking forward to continuing to share in meditation and asana as well as breath work with my community the next couple months prior to surgery. Yoga has been in full mode at home as well… with the triple pile up downward dog.

Glimmers are kite festivals (100s of kites in the sky), food trucks, birthday parties, Spirographs, support meals, your 7 yo becoming more aware of the world, your 2 yo’s budding imagination, and your partners unwavering support. Moments of peace, stillness, and movement. Warm tea, many layers of clothes, continued love from all over. Being able to find my breath and center each day. Taxes being finished. Forecasted snow ❄️.

Mantras: Trust the Universe. Go straight for the liver. Be present.
