Round 6: the switch up

Round 6 required me to be admitted for two days. I did well with loads of premeds, lower dose and longer infusion duration. The staff was great; oncology team, hospitalist team, nursing, CNAs, and housekeeping. Next round will be attempt at a full dose and maybe switch to every three weeks.

It was hard being away from the boys; we kept up on our nightly reading sessions with a chapter from Stuart Little. I did, however, have some wonderful guests. I had a wonderful, extended visit the first evening. We chatted and the time passed so quickly; so dear to share and catch up. In other visits, discussions of romance novels and kiddos; warm smiles from behind masks. I realized I was not alone.

I can’t thank those who are on this journey with us adequately. Those who check in on treatment days, those who check in when they think of us, those who check in just regularly; thank you. It means the world to us.
